I remember my dad sitting in the basement of our home with his 33 gallon plastic garbage tote full of labels, UPC’s and coupons. He would sift through the UPC’s until he came up with exactly the items he was looking for and then send off for a cool freebie or money back. It may not have been organized, but I was always impressed.
Grocery shopping was an event at my house, we all went, my dad alaways had his shoebox of collected coupons organized from A to Z along with his list. My mom would come too, I think to corral the four children so my dad could concentrate.
I am all grown up now, but what I learned from my father was the value of a dollar and how to stretch that dollar. My dad made saving fun and I still get so tickled every time my dad calls me and says, "Did you see the deal over at..."

If I told you that you could save $1,500, $2,000, even $4,000 a year on things you buy everyday, would you listen? Stop shaking your heads; it is not impossible to do. I am not talking about just clipping coupons from the Sunday paper (although that does save tons of money).
It’s more than that. By knowing where, and how to look, you will save thousands of dollars. You will buy items you use everyday to run your home, save on designer clothes and purses, buy clothes for your children at unbelievable savings and the list goes on…
