It's almost 5:00 and you are starting to think about dinner. You still have so much to do, kids have places to be and you don't have time to cook tonight. You wonder, "Where Do Kids Eat Free on Monday?"
One place kids 10 and under can eat free is Golden Corral! We visited ours last Monday and were pleasantly surprised that they had changed the night (this is why it is always good to double check days and times as they can change quickly). Kids 3 and under are always free at Golden Corral, however, we are long past that age.
We got there right at 5 o'clock, which is when the kids eat free promotion officially starts and many of you know that buffets can be hit and miss. Right at 5pm, like clock work, all of the entrees were being swapped out for fresh. Even if they were half or more full, the trays were being replaced with fresh, hot food, I commented to my husband because I was impressed.
Our kids love buffets because they can go up and get the food themselves, and of course the dessert buffet is amazing! They really enjoy making ice cream sundaes with whipped cream and gummy bears, or like this night it was jello (sucked up through a straw of course).
We are a walking circus, so of course the kids were so excited when the clown came in and put out her face decorating paints and started making balloons for all the kids. It gave my husband and myself a chance to let our full bellies settle while they were entertained by the clown. My daughters got "cool diva paint" on their faces with puppy dog balloons and my son got the pirate with the matching balloon sword. The clown was very talented as you can see from the pictures!
I think we all enjoyed our trip to Golden Corral and at only $31.00 for 3 adults and 3 kids, I think our wallets are happy too!

The golden corral in mooresville, nc is kids eat free on tues..not mon..=)
FYI… for those of you in GA, neither the Stockbridge nor McDonough location offers a kids eat free night. They have the standard 2 and under eat free every day, but nothing for the older kids.
Golden Corral in Waldorf, MD does not participate in the kids eat free promotion.
I love Golden Corral. We went a few months ago and had a great time. The staff was really nice and the food. Oh my goodness, it was so good. I loved the mini hamburgers. My family of six loves to eat buffets and we were impressed!

So here are some of the things I think are great at Golden Corral; DEFINITELY go for the pot roast, it falls apart and is so good, the baked beans are good, the shredded pork is good (ask for extra barbecue sauce). The macaroni is also yummy, I enjoy it. They have really good bread pudding and chocolate chip cookies too!
There is more, I am trying to think what else I get when I go. I like very fancy restaurants as well, and also consider myself a very good chef, but this buffet has definitely been our list of family restaurants for about 3 years (since we moved South)
We have a very good, clean restaurant and I do think that makes a lot of difference in whether or not food is fresh and your experience is enjoyable too!
