I have 4 children and they all LOVE to read. One triples their reading goal at school and another will sit down and read and entire Harry Potter book in a day. It's amazing! Team Mom sent me two children's books by author Leslie Patricelli to review. When I received them, I smiled as it reminded me of how the love of books started in my house.

The first book is called Baby Happy Baby Sad and it is a board book designed for children ages 1-3. The cover of this book is cute; You see a happy baby ready to eat a yummy ice cream cone, but "Oh No!" it's tipping and you can guess what happens (because we are adults!). Baby is sad when the ice cream falls to the ground. The book is cute and the illustrations are colorful and engaging for children. Each page has a picture to go with the words "Baby Happy" or "Baby Sad", toddlers will learn to relate the pictures with the emotions.
The second book is called Higher, Higher and is a hard cover picture book. I am not a fan of picture books but this one definitely is cute, the pages are colorful and grab your attention. This book is about a little girl on a swing with her father that would do anything for her (sound familiar). How high will the little girl go? Higher than a giraffe? Taller than a mountain? The book has very few words, but leaves the story up to the interpretation of your 2-5 year old! It's great to sit back and listen to the stories kids will come up with when you ask them to tell you what happens.
Both books are a great addition to your book collection and can be purchased on Amazon.
