We, like many people, have a dog - his name is Duke and he is great! That being said, he can also smelly at times and occasionally cough up something unidentifiable. If there is one thing I don't like, it has to be a house that actually smells like animals live in it.
Recently, Simple Green sent me a bottle fo their New Pet Stain and Odor Remover...for dog messes! (they also have one for cats) These products are biodegradable, non-toxic, safe to use around people, pets and surfaces. My biggest problem is that my boxer will occasionally throw up, I don't know why, but it is an awful mess to clean up. I tried Simple Green Pet Stain and Odor Remover after an accident and not only did it work on getting the carpet cleaned up, it left a fresh smell in the entire room!
I like the Fresh Bond Technology that eliminates odors, as that is my biggest concern. Just be careful not to use too much, I am used to the other brands that don't work as well and I sprayed quite a bit the first time! You don't need to, just spray a few times and smell the results!
Simple Green Pet Stain and Odor Remover can be used on just about anything: carpets, rugs, upholstery, pet bedding, litter boxes, crates and carriers, tile, finished wood, laminates, concrete, clothing, curtains & drapes, auto carpet & upholstery, sleeping bags, anywhere pet soils and stains occur! They do advise not to use on silk, velvet, leather or suede - as always, you will want to read the directions on the bottle.
