UPDATE: Walmart sent me the following email regarding the confusion around the flyer that came out last week. I posted it below because it contains links to their Coupon Policy and Price Match Policy. I am not sure if I have seen any store coupon that includes a printed retail price (they are usually $$ Off). Also, many of you asked about price matches on BOGO items and the will NOT price match those items. I recommend reading their policies, this is the first time I have ever seen their Price Match Policy:
“There have been some questions about Walmart’s coupon policy and I wanted to offer some additional details. To clarify, Walmart will continue to accept all valid manufacturer and print-at-home internet coupons with a scannable bar code. In addition, Walmart will also match the price listed on any valid competitor coupons that include a printed retail price for a specific item (e.g., $2 for a 24 oz. bottle of Clorox).”
We apologize for any confusion.
For further details, please see our price match and coupon policies online:
I was looking at the Walmart flyer that was in the Sunday paper and in the corner it says “We’ll match the price of any local competitor’s printed ad or coupon for an identical product.” That is HUGE for many of us and it goes on to say “Price matching, Coupon accepted”!!
Please Note: It does not say in the ad what Walmart considers a competitor (it says see store for details), I will get up there asap to find out!!
What do you think about this news? I am hoping this is good for all us Couponers!!
